These are beautiful. One of the theme’s in the novel I’m writing at the moment is female desire within the Victorian period. It was the literature which first got me interested many, many moons ago and also the art.
Same here – I love all the Arthurian Art and Literature from the era. Full of barely repressed desire! x
Yes, it’s amazing how many people think that the Victorians particularly women didn’t experience desire. Such an interesting period but I’m glad that I didn’t live in it.
