I think stop mo. is my favourite film medium. It started when I was very young and those holiday specials used to terrify and fascinate me! Thanks to Youtube I’m able to find them and be terrified all over again.
I’m really looking forward to Burton’s Frankenweenie!
What’s interesting is that Rankin/Bass began its stop motion tradition with “Mad Monster Party,” which predated Tim Burton’s work and heavily inspired him.
Wow, I’m so glad you found this, or I would never have heard of The Maker!! It looks absolutely amazing! My daughter & I adore stop motion, everything from Aardman’s Wallace & Gromit to Tim Burton, we have a particular soft spot for Burton’s The Corpse Bride though 🙂 And I own far more Jack Skellington handbags than is really acceptable for a girl in her mid thirties, lol 😛
I love stop motion animation, and that film looks very interesting. Thanks for sharing.

I managed to catch an old DVD copy of that a while ago. Love the redhead, it’s hilarious.
