so proud of you hehe. yup, matt is a versatile actor. he appeared in an episode of glee last season, as well as the prop 8 (gay marriage ban) skit on youtube. he also recently starred in that male stripper move “magic mike” (don’t want that). his tv show “white collar” is still running in the u.s. that’s when i first saw him on tv.
i liked the look of it too… eye candy.. yum. but the story wasn’t executed very well, in fact, the story wasn’t very interesting. do you watch true blood? the actor who portrays alcide the werewolf was also one of the strippers in magic mike.
personally I think “50 shades of grey” should be just left as a book, NO movie… to make it a movie gives everyone a face & body, the image is made, as a book the mind is free to create the people in any way your mind pleases, and with all the “scenes” it would be like watching a porn… and that is not what I read it 5 times for…. each time my mind created a different “look” and meaning…. no movie please…. why must everything be made into a movie……… innocent book reading dies……………….
You are right, Kytty. Reading is such a personal thing and I fear movie studios put profit above all else. It is often our personal interpretation and imagination that makes a book so special to us. I really don’t know how 50 Shades could be adapted well.
When Peter Jackson’s Rings films were first mooted I had kittens! Especially when I heard people say they couldn’t be bothered to read the books they’d just watch the movies… aaarrrgh. Still, I’ve come to love those films…. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
One thing is certain, the media will make an absolute meal of this! xxx
I just can’t see Matt Bomer who has openly admitted to being gay plays the part of Christian Grey… no matter how good of an actor you are. It’s hard to imagine and be captivated by a Christian Grey who can never fall in love with Anastasia because they are on the same team! I think Ian Somerhalder is the perfect Christian Grey!!!
I’ve heard a few people say Ian S. would be their choice, I certainly love him in The Vampire Diaries.
Maybe Matt will find it easier to focus on the acting parts. There can’t be many wives/girlfriends out there who would be happy to let their partners take that role 😉 xx
I haven’t read the books either 😉 and when I heard about the casting I had to do some research. I’m not so much interested in the film more in the zeitgeist that creates such sensationalism.
Matt is easy on the eye though – I suspect his life will never be the same again! x
