Updated 06/08/2014 – View TV Trailer!
NBC’s Constantine TV show is set to air on 24th October with Matt Ryan in the lead role so there’s plenty of time to familiarise yourself with Vertigo’s paranormal PI.
Grubby, British, sociopolitical and astute, Constantine’s adventures will appeal to those who want smarts with their supernatural.
There are bigger, more epic story arcs than the standalones in this graphic novel collection but time in Constantine’s company is always well spent.

I’ve read most of the the hellblazer comics, and India was a good story line… The original Jamie Delano ones were my favorite, though. The John Constantine character first appeared in Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing [But you probably know that!].

There’s a lot of love for Constantine out there, which makes me glad 🙂
Alan Moore is an absolute legend.
Why can’t someone put extra hours in the day just so I can read more? xx

Such a brilliant character and concept, there’s definitely room out there for a well adapted film series or TV show. So many things have borrowed from Constantine already – we want the real thing 😉

Ooh, I remember reading the ripper storyline (the cover images in the bottom). Garth Ennis’s run with this character was always my favourite. Particularly the collection Dangerous Habits, but being northern irish, that probably has special significance to me. (Garth Ennis own comic Preacher is brilliant too).
I always forget that Constantine is meant to be a Scouser, but in my head he’ll always have a London twang!

I’m not as familiar with Preacher, there has been talk of a TV show or film for years (but after the whole Keanu as Constantine thing I’m not sure!) I’d love to see Hellblazer done properly – we’ll just have to settle for the amazing comics and graphic novels for now 🙂 xx
