Fairies, Fey, Phaeries, Fay… call them what you will because we love them all at The Arcade of Arts & Arcana.

Return To The Faerie Realm Of Lily Wight, first posted on 31st May, was this year’s top post; the one that featured a very alternative Alice and earned this blogger the nickname “Macabre Cutie”!

Lily Wight ~ The Arcade Of Arts & Arcana is presenting just one Blog Of The Year Award for 2012.

Renard Moreau is a gifted and conscientious blogger with a unique ability to speak directly and warmly to his readers.  Renard has wit, wisdom and an ability to see beauty in many things.  His blog is infinitely varied, always entertaining and enlightening by coincidence just when you need it to be.

Renard is unlikely to be interested in or effected by this award, but his blog is heartily recommended just the same and hopefully that will make him *smile* 😉

     Virgin Blogger (published 27/2/12).

Maybe innocence rallied support, or perhaps it’s because it has the word “virgin” in the title.  Whatever the reason The Arcade Of Arts & Arcana’s very first blog adventure made it into the top five posts of the year list…

“Dear Blogsprites,

I always thought that keyboards were for making music and that hard-drives were arduous road-trips.

As soon as I start to navigate my way around the lovely WordPress I will launch my Mission Statement.

In the meantime here is a lovely picture…”

The “lovely picture” refers, of course, to The Eight Of Cups from Patrick Valenza’s Deviant Moon Tarot.  A picture, that for many, has become the “face” of Lily Wight.

I can never thank Patrick enough for graciously granting his permission to use this image.  You will always find a link to the Deviant Moon website in the sidebar at www.lilywight.com.
