The Library Is Open ~ The Year’s Best Blog Posts #1
January 8, 2013 by Lily Wight
It’s cold and dark outside, Blogsprites – but you’ll find a warm welcome in The Arcade Of Arts & Arcana!
We’re opening the year with books, books and more books – a few reviews, art, movies, tarot and even the odd cute animal gif or Lego curio might sneak their way in too 😉
Now, where shall we do our reading?

I love the first image, Lily. But the fourth brings to mind… The Cemetery of Forgotten Books. Are you familiar?

I’ve heard good things about this author. I think it might have to go to the top of the list, I’m looking for a new indulgent/leisure read!
Off to the library tomorrow, wish me luck, Ted x

I’m hoping for snow this weekend, that will give me the excuse I need to stay indoors with a good book x

I can only visit if I know I’ve got at least half a day to spare. I promise myself I’ll just pop a book back in and I get… distracted… xx

Hi Morrighan, good to meet you x If you remember the name of that movie let me know! I love the library in Disney’s Beauty And The Beast, the one in Seven, Hogwarts… too many!
I’m part-way through reading The Shadow Of The Window, which features The Cemetery Of Forgotten Books. I can really recommend it x

I would love to have a bookcase that required steps!

Remember to get safety grip of those steps… I’m thinking of a rather unfortunate painting “incident” I had 🙂

Well… I was at the top of a 12 foot ladder painting above the picture rail… and then I wasn’t. Who knew you are supposed to use a safety matt on highly polished wooden floors!!!. The ladder just slid down the wall so I ended up spread-eagled on top of it – I landed safely on my airbags! I thought I’d split my head open but it turned out I was just lying in a puddle of white paint. Epic fail!!!
