Lily Wight is always available to be the sanguinous stuffing in an Anne Rice and Clive Barker sandwich – so please tuck in 😉

The Grande Dame of Grand Guignol and The Master of The Macabre (via official administrator, Alex) were kind enough to recommend and share features from the blog at www.lilywight.com with their huge online communities.

Just click the links below for these unmissable posts ~

“The Wolf Gift” scored this generous review by Lily Wight and I’m grateful.  Also note the cool use of Ran Valerhon’s art in this review.  Love it.

Jamie Dornan may have bagged the much coveted role of sado-hunk Christian Grey but it is his little known co-star, Dakota Johnson, who is currently Google’s most searched for celeb.  So here she is,  Ms. Anastasia Steele, in this month’s movie adaptation of E. L. James’ Fifty Shades of Grey.

You’ll soon be seeing ALOT more of her 😉

*Dakota Mayi Johnson was born 4th October 1989 in Austin, Texas, USA.

*Dakota is the daughter of actors, Melanie Griffith and Don Johnson and the stepdaughter of Antonio Banderas.

*Dakota made her acting début in Crazy In Alabama (1999) directed by Antonio Banderas and starring with her mother, Melanie and half-sister, Stella Banderas.

*Dakota signed to IMG Models in 2006 and became Miss Golden Globe the same year.

*Film credits include a brief  *ahem* but memorable scene in Facebook movie, The Social Network.

article-0-1D7B01A900000578-531_634x607     J.J. Abrams appears to be following in George Lucas’s footsteps by casting relatively unknown younglings alongside the familiar older cast.

Precious little is known about British actress, Daisy Ridley who has a handful of TV credits to her name in shows such as Casualty, Silent Witness and Mr. Selfridge.  All that looks set to change however following a role in The Inbetweeners 2 and a certain Sci Fi saga that a few fans will be waiting until 2015 to see.

Here is Daisy’s slideshow *WARNING contains boobage!!*

140429164103-01-new-star-wars-cast-horizontal-gallery     You’ll have to wait until December 2015 to get a brand new Star Wars: Episode VII sized Christmas present so there’s plenty of time to acquaint yourself with the next generation of stars from that galaxy far, far away.

Recently released cast details reveal nothing about character names and roles but British actor John Boyega (22) is most likely to fill the role of hot young hero whilst hoping to escape the saga’s infamous Hamill-Christensen curse.

It’s almost a decade since Stephenie Meyer’s first Twilight novel was published and here is the last review of our four book retrospective…

Breaking Dawn is undoubtedly the most mature and entertaining book in the series with more incident, action and horror than all the previous volumes put together.

Discerning fans might try to excuse, scan or simply ignore Edward and Bella’s nauseating honeymoon and enjoy instead Jacob’s first person narration of the birth of their monster offspring.

The Twililght Series has always tended to be a little tame and anaemic but by introducing that classic horror staple – the “demon-child” – Meyer invigorates the tale creating, arguably, a better starting-point for the entire series.

Unfortunately Meyer bungles the ending by rushing the introductions to an influx of interesting new characters and…

12/12/2013 TOP BLOG POST!

If you checked-in for yesterday’s post you will already know that Sherlock Holmes is Dracula’s only significant rival when it comes to literary characters with the most big and small screen adaptations to their credit.

An alternative world mash-up featuring Robert Downey Jr.’s movie detective versus the BBC’s Benedict Cumberbatch (with an army of self-styled “Cumberbabes” in tow) would be quite a spectacle.  In the meantime I’m recommending the Stephen Spielberg produced Young Sherlock Holmes as the perfect accompaniment for a Father’s Day afternoon nap.

The arcane and occult plot-stylings undoubtedly influenced Guy Ritchie’s Twenty-First Century Holmes reboot and (although plaudits go elsewhere) Young Sherlock Holmes is a film that utilised groundbreaking CGI effects; just check-out the stained glass knight in one of the movie’s many not-so-family-friendly moments!

Darth Vader knows what you’ve got for Christmas – he felt your presents – and he’s on his way to East Yorkshire, UK to offer film fans the opportunity to solve all their festive gift needs.

Movie Buffs Christmas Special is the latest event organised by Hullywood Entertainment and due to be held over two days, at Hull’s Princes Quay Shopping Centre, on Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December 2013.

The Christmas Special will be Hullywood’s eighth collectors’ fair and promises dozens of trade stalls offering unique, rare, new and vintage memorabilia.

Special guest, Rusty Goffe will be in attendance, signing autographs and sharing his anecdotes and experiences on both days.  Rusty continues to enjoy a long and distinguished career in films and television and has appeared as a Jawa in the original Star Wars Trilogy and an Oompa Loompa in Willy Wonka & The Chocolate Factory.  Younger fans will know Rusty as a Gringott’s Goblin from the Harry Potter movies.

The Movie Buffs Christmas Special will also feature a variety of exhibition props, costume groups, cosplay and face-painting.  For more information and to keep up-to-date with Hullywood Entertainment news and events send a Facebook friend request to Hullywood Crew or follow @HullywoodCrew on Twitter.

This month’s must see movie has a rather tenuous Middle-earth link and an intriguing take on fantasy and the nature of storytelling.  It also stars Lee Pace, an actor who has hovered on the brink of stardom for too long and may well steal Orlando Bloom’s “Hottest Elf” crown with his darkly enigmatic portrayal of Legolas’ father, King Thranduil of Mirkwood.

There is still time to catch The Fall before the release of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.  If you enjoy the trailer then watch the full movie right here!
