article-0-1D7B01A900000578-531_634x607     J.J. Abrams appears to be following in George Lucas’s footsteps by casting relatively unknown younglings alongside the familiar older cast.

     Precious little is known about British actress, Daisy Ridley who has a handful of TV credits to her name in shows such as Casualty, Silent Witness and Mr. Selfridge.  All that looks set to change however following a role in The Inbetweeners 2 and a certain Sci Fi saga that a few fans will be waiting until 2015 to see.

140429164103-01-new-star-wars-cast-horizontal-gallery     You’ll have to wait until December 2015 to get a brand new Star Wars: Episode VII sized Christmas present so there’s plenty of time to acquaint yourself with the next generation of stars from that galaxy far, far away.

     Recently released cast details reveal nothing about character names and roles but British actor John Boyega (22) is most likely to fill the role of hot young hero whilst hoping to escape the saga’s infamous Hamill-Christensen curse.

     Pirates Of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides may have underwhelmed the critics but its hefty box-office haul, not to mention the durability of Depp’s now iconic pirate, has secured a sequel.

     Captain Jack Sparrow’s as yet unnamed fifth outing, rumoured to be scripted by Men In Black 3’s Jeff Nathanson, may lack both director and cast but is scheduled for release in July 2015.

     The 2015 summer schedule is packed with potential big-hitters including the return of The Star Wars Saga with Episode VII, Avatar 2, D.C’s Justice League and sequels for Mission Impossible, The Hunger Games, Tintin and more!  It’s hard to imagine Captain Jack not wanting a share of that booty

     Star Wars: The Complete Vader is an excellent coffee table book from Random House at a bargain price!

     There are plenty of glossy images, pullouts and keepsakes with a surprisingly thorough text, so even hardcore Star Wars fans should see or read something new 🙂

     A heartily recommended time waster.
