NBC’s Constantine TV show is set to air on 24th October with Matt Ryan in the lead role so there’s plenty of time to familiarise yourself with Vertigo’s paranormal PI.
Grubby, British, sociopolitical and astute, Constantine’s adventures will appeal to those who want smarts with their supernatural.
There are bigger, more epic story arcs than the standalones in this graphic novel collection but time in Constantine’s company is always well spent.

This month’s must see movie has a rather tenuous Middle-earth link and an intriguing take on fantasy and the nature of storytelling. It also stars Lee Pace, an actor who has hovered on the brink of stardom for too long and may well steal Orlando Bloom’s “Hottest Elf” crown with his darkly enigmatic portrayal of Legolas’ father, King Thranduil of Mirkwood.
There is still time to catch The Fall before the release of The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug. If you enjoy the trailer then watch the full movie right here!

It is only the snow and not the vampires that glitter in this must-see Scandinavian horror gem. No, we’re not talking about Let The Right One In – the thinking vamp-groupie’s vamp movie – but Anders Banke’s Frostbite (2006) known intermittently as Frostbitten (and Frostbiten in Swedish) just to add a little confusion.
This is what happens when you drop old school scary bloodsuckers into a town of restless youths enduring 24/7 darkness. Check out the trailer and line-up a full viewing for Halloween.
